\n\tSwiss German University would like to congratulate two alumnae of SGU, namely Amelia Belinda and Chelsea Soedarma, who have been granted a scholarship up to EUR47,000 by the European Commission, in the framework of the Erasmus+ programme for European Master of Food Science, Technology, and Business (BIFTEC) for the academic year 2016-2017 in the Faculty of Engineering Technology.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAmelia Belinda and Chelsea Soedarma, alumnae of Food Technology Study Program of Swiss German University (SGU), were granted the scholarship after competing with thousands of applicants from all over the world.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tDr. Dipl.-Ing. Samuel P. Kusumocahyo, the Dean of the Faculty of Life Sciences & Technology, said that SGU is very proud of this prestigious achievement awarded to two SGU alumnae. "We are very proud of Amelia and Chelsea for their hard work to achieve this prestigious scholarship, competing with thousands of applicants from all over the world representing Indonesia. SGU always supports its students to reach their full potential and through the international internship and dual degree programme, we believe that SGU graduates will be more than ready to compete not only in Asia, but also globally," said Samuel.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tErasmus+ is the EU's programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe. Its budget of EUR14.7 billion will provide opportunities for over 4 million Europeans to study, train, gain experience, and volunteer abroad. Through the European Master of Science in Food Science, Technology and Business (BIFTEC) programme, it is aiming to foster innovation and technology in order to cope with future needs and sustainability. The programme is organised in a modular format by three European partner institutions: KU Leuven Technology Campus Gent, Catholic University of Portugal and Anhalt University of Applied Sciences.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAt the same time, Amelia Belinda was also granted another scholarship by VLIR-UOS for the International Course Programme (ICP) Master of Science in Food Technology. VLIR-UOS is a scholarship program given by the Belgium government.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tIn addition, Erico Himawan, a 2015 graduate from Pharmaceutical Engineering of SGU, was also granted the Erasmus+ scholarship in 2015.
