Melodies of Inspiration: Empowering Through Music
Music is a universal language that we can all understand. As a passionate music lover, music brings joy and teaches us many things. On behalf of Swiss German University, I’d like to express my appreciation for music and how it has enriched my life. Through the ‘SGU Brand Champion Goes to School’ project, I can share my knowledge with students who share my love, empathy, and passion for music.
People who are passionate about music share a special connection. Music brings people together, and its power is undeniable. As Jimi Hendrix said, ‘Music is a safe kind of high.’ The students at SMA Plus Pembangunan Jaya exemplify this perfectly. Marsya, Bintang, Gantar, Zhafyr, and Kenar are all 10th graders who love music. They are eager to develop their talents and let their love for music flourish. Music is a form of expression, and these students clearly understand that. They are already exceptionally talented musically. While I am also a music student, it was a pleasure to collaborate with these gifted young people. They are passionate and determined to share their musical message with the world.
The passion and love these students have for music is truly inspiring. Seeing their drive to play music throughout this program reminds me of my high school days when many of us discovered our true identities. Finding that identity can make everything feel like it’s in its proper place. I remember going through that myself, trying different things until I finally found my passion. A real sense of joy comes from doing what you love, and I’m sure many of you can relate to that. Unfortunately, some of us lose touch with that passion as we age. We abandon the things that once brought us so much happiness. That’s not how it’s supposed to be.
These students performed the song ‘Laskar Pelangi’ at Exconic Fest, hoping to share a powerful message. Through this campaign, I want to encourage everyone to find their passion in life. When you discover something that genuinely resonates with you, hold onto it, believe in it, and never give up. If you still need to find your passion, keep searching! Don’t let regret cloud your future. As Tony Robbins said, ‘Live with passion!
