What is Total Contamination Control?

Long considered the workhorse of manufacturing and construction, lubrication and hydraulic systems are trusted with delivering the power that moves industry forward. Today’s lubrication and hydraulic machinery work very hard. It is expected to be highly reliable with minimum downtime and cost-effective operation. The expectation of a safe working environment also dictates that lubrication and hydraulic systems operate with low equipment noise. Hydraulic and lubrication systems are expected to deliver responsive and precise movement with maximum efficiency.

The problem issues addressed in industrial reliability are decreased production, unscheduled downtime, increased cost and safety concern. It’s important for both equipment manufacturers and end users to have a sound understanding of the fundamental principle of total contamination control that is the key to reliability by which lubrication and hydraulic fluids function in a system. Total Contamination control is to optimize and improve the lubrication and hydraulic system operational availability and cover the complete lifespan of the systems.
