SGU and Tangsel City Government Host Tangsel Digifest 2024 to Create the Best MSME Products
In this rapidly evolving digital era, superior products along with effective management and marketing are crucial for MSMEs. Amid increasing competition, MSMEs that can develop outstanding products and implement effective management and marketing strategies have a greater chance of survival and growth. High-quality products supported by proper management and marketing strategies can significantly enhance competitiveness and sustainability.
Recognizing the critical importance of this, Swiss German University (SGU) has collaborated with the Cooperative and MSME Office of South Tangerang City to organize Tangsel Digifest 2024, an event aimed at producing top-notch MSME products in South Tangerang. The collaboration agreement was signed on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at SGU Campus, The Prominence Tower, Alam Sutera, Tangerang City, Banten.
The primary focus of Tangsel Digifest 2024 is to find and develop truly exceptional MSME products. This competition is designed to help MSMEs optimize their product development in the digital era, enabling them to compete not only at the national level but also globally.
The Rector of Swiss German University, Dr. Dipl-Ing. Samuel P. Kusumocahyo, stated, “With its reputation as a leading university in business and technology education, SGU is delighted to work on this collaboration. We believe that Tangsel Digifest 2024 will help us discover and support outstanding MSME products in South Tangerang.”
The Head of the Cooperative and MSME Office of South Tangerang City, Mr. Bachtiar Priyambodo, S.STP., M.Si, also expressed his support, “This collaboration with SGU is a strategic step to make MSMEs in South Tangerang more competitive. We hope that through Tangsel Digifest 2024, MSMEs will be better prepared to face global challenges.”
Tangsel Digifest 2024 will go through several rigorous selection stages:
- Initial Selection (July 18 – August 18, 2024): At this stage, business data, product specifications, and business owner data will be collected and reviewed.
- Interview Selection (August 18 – 25, 2024): Participants who pass the initial selection will undergo an interview stage for data verification and validation, as well as analysis of MSME characteristics.
- Online Expo Selection (August 26 – September 8, 2024): Participants will be given digital promotion tasks that will be evaluated and assessed based on their digital marketing performance.
- Bootcamp Selection (September 12 – 30, 2024): Selected participants will receive technical training and hands-on tasks that will be judged by a panel.
- Awarding (October 2024): Selected top products will be incubated by SGU’s Nidumnovis business incubator and eligible for cash prizes.
