Dean Faculty Engineering of Information Technology Delivered General Lecture at Polytechnic Manufacture (Polman) ASTRA

On July 28, 2015 Dean of Faculty of Engineering and IT (FEIT), Dr. Ir. Gembong Baskoro, M.Sc. had the opportunity to deliver a general lecture at Polytechnic Manufacture ASTRA (Polman ASTRA). The Dean delivered a lecture on “Challenges and Opportunities of Industry and Higher Engineering Education towards ASEAN Economic Community (AEC)”. This topic was delivered to increase the awareness towards AEC 2015. The purpose of AEC is to foster a single regional market among ASEAN countries where will accept a free-flow of goods, services, investment, skilled labor, and capital. Consequently, ASEAN countries will compete and move freely in a common market without such tight restrictions as in the past. The objective of this lecture was to provide Polman ASTRA students awareness of regional development (AEC) prior to their graduation. It is expected that students who will soon graduate from Polman ASTRA and enter the market sector have a prior knowledge regarding the positioning of Industry in this regionalization.
