The Winners of “IESD in One Day” Competition

On January 9, 2015 the Industrial Engineering Department of Swiss German University held a competition entitled “IESD (Industrial Engineering System Design) in One Day” for Indonesian high school students. The competition was a group assignment to produce deliverables such as:

• Product concept                                                                          

• Material handling

• Project Management

• Material requirement

• Process planning

• Quality management

• Factory layout

The competition started at 09:30 with deliverables submitted to Redmine and PLM, in the form of AutoCAD, Google Sketchup, Teknomatix, Provision and Microsoft office file. The projects were created with guidance from 12 students of Industrial Engineering from semester 5 and semester 7. Group presentations started at 18.45 and finished at 21.00. The presentations were delivered by the participants in English each for 20 minutes.

The projects were evaluated by five 5 lecturers of Industrial Engineering of SGU and two alumni of Industrial Engineering of SGU who currently work for Citibank Indonesia and Deloitte Indonesia.

The winners who get a scholarship for Development Fee and 1^st Semester Payment are:

1^st winners – each entitled to a scholarship worth IDR 20,250,000:

2^nd winners – each entitled to a scholarship worth IDR 12,150,000:

1. Jessica Florencia (SMA Kristen, IPEKA Tomang)
2. William Gunawan (UPH College, Karawaci)

3^rd winners – each entitled to a scholarship worth IDR  4,050,000:

1. Bryan Chrisnata (SMA Global Mandiri)
2. Amal Vega Pradana (SMA Al Azhar Syifa Budi Kemang)
