Company Visit to PT Mercedes Benz assembly line in Bogor
Bogor, 22nd January 2016 – The Faculty of Business Administration and Humanities and Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology of Swiss German University visited PT Mercedes Benz assembly line in Bogor on the 22ndJanuary 2016. The Faculty of Business Administration and Humanities was represented by Dr. Rachman Sjarief, and Fiter Abadi MBA, and Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology was represented by Dr Gembong Baskoro, Dr. Tanika D. Sofianti, and Dr. Dena Hendriana.
The delegation from Swiss German University was welcomed by Ibu Ester Tjiungwanara as the human resource director, accompanied by Ibu Rosita M. Ramlie, Bapak Wawan Kusnawan, Bapak Marceleus Ismunandar, Ibu Harliati A. Esti, Ibu Niena Khotimah, Pak Enrico and Pak Eka Otto Fariyanto from Mercedes-Benz, Indonesia. During the visits, the opportunities of cooperation in terms of research, internship program, recruitment program, and master program for the employee of Mercedes-Benz, Indonesia were explored. The representation from Mercedes-Benz shared information regarding the competences of worker they which is very useful as feedback for curriculum improvement.
After the meeting, the SGU delegation had the opportunity to visit the factory to see how the company manufacturing line works. Additionally, during the visit, the delegation from SGU met the alumnae of Mechatronics and Industrial Engineering Department who work in the company and contributed some improvements.
