Courtesy call to SGU from New Leader of Polman ASTRA

On September 23, 2015 the new leader of Polman ASTRA, Ir. Tony H. Silalahi (the Director) and his deputation, made a courtesy call on the Rector of the Swiss German University (SGU), Dr.rer.nat. Filiana Santoso as well as to Dean of Faculty of Engineering and IT (FEIT), Dr. Ir. Gembong Baskoro, MSc. The seven-member deputation from Polman ASTRA was comprised of Bapak Toni Pongoh (Deputy director of Polman ASTRA), prof. Syahril Ardi, Bapak Budi Hartono, Bapak Hari D. Nugroho, and Bapak Teofilus Larosa. Meanwhile the delegation from SGU was comprised of Dr.rer.nat. Maruli Panjaitan (Director of Cooperation), Dr.Ir. Moh A. Amin Sutomo, M.Sc. (Head of Master’s of Information Technology), Dena Hendriana, BS, SM, ScD (Deputy Head of Master’s of Mechanical Engineering in Mechatronics), Leo Rusli, BS, MS, PhD (Head of Bachelor’s of Mechanical Engineering in Mechatronics).

The brief ceremony was opened by the Rector of SGU with a welcoming speech that included an overview of SGU. The second speech was delivered by the Director of Polman ASTRA, and continued with a faculty presentation by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and IT about its recent developments. The proceedings were continued with a discussion session between both delegations. During the session both leaders recalled bonds of goodwill and excellent relations between the two institutions. They exchanged views on academic and research matters of mutual interest. The discussions also centered on possible further academic cooperation to be explored.

Leaders of Polman ASTRA and SGU exchange their views on higher education development

An exchange of mementos between the Director of Polman ASTRA and the Rector of the Swiss German University brought the cordial meeting to an end. A photo session together culminated this brief courtesy call.
