Entrepreneurship Workshop SMA 3 Cirebon
On 26th March, 2016, SGU received a visit from SMAN 3 Cirebon. The delegation from SMAN 3 Cirebon was accompanied by the Headmaster, Hj. Ety Nur Rochaeni, along with teachers and 100 students. The delegation was received by Dr. Dipl-Ing Rachman Sjarief, M.M., M.H., with a team from the Directorate of Communication and Comm&PR study program. In his opening speech, Dr. Rachman said that the Business Administration Department was very happy to receive and welcome our guests and hoped that the visit would be useful for the students to experience and enrich the knowledge.
During this visit, BA students gave a workshop regarding entrepreneurship using Business Model Canvas (BMC) as a tool. Semester 8 students Nanda Dwinanti and Revino Yanuandri, explained variables in the BMC such as key partners, key activities, key resources, and Value Proposition. After the workshop, the high school students were divided into 10 groups, and were challenged to create a simple business idea, which they had to present in front of their teachers and the SGU team. The best group from this competition won a prize of 25% discount on first semester tuition and development fees at SGU.
The winner in this competition was the group ‘Samolo Sehat’, whose idea was a Samolo fruit ice cream. This group explained its target market and convinced all that the product was healthy with no pasteurization. The group consisted of Aisyah, Andhika, Cynthia, Dery, Dhea, Fitri, Halifah, Mery, Shafira and Syahanti.
At the end of this event, the Headmaster of SMAN 3 Cirebon thanked SGU for its warm welcome and for the workshop SGU shared with the students. She believed that the workshop was highly effective and enriched the high school students’ knowledge.
