Exconic Fest Ed. July & Math Competition 2024: A Day of Learning and Celebration
Swiss German University (SGU) successfully hosted the Exconic Fest Ed. July & Math Competition 2024 on Saturday, July 27, 2024. The event was a vibrant mix of academic competition and fun activities, drawing participants and attendees from various backgrounds.
The day kicked off with registration at 8:00 AM, followed by an official opening by the Master of Ceremonies at 8:30 AM. Dr. Nila Krisnawati Hidayat , S.E., M.M., Vice Rector II of SGU, delivered a welcoming speech and provided an overview of SGU, setting an enthusiastic tone for the day.
The Math Competition segment began with a briefing on rules and regulations by Bimbel Matica. Participants then dove into a 60-minute intense competition. Meanwhile, special invitation guests enjoyed a dedicated session by Bimbel Matica. After the competition, participants prepared for their group presentations, which were meticulously assessed by a panel of judges. The group presentations, each lasting 10 minutes, showcased the participants’ mathematical prowess and creativity.
Following a brief period for favorite group voting, the event proceeded with the much-anticipated winner announcement. Dr. Ir..Eka Budiarto, S.T., M.Sc. and Dr. Yunita Umniyati, S.Si., M.Sc awarded the 1st place winner, while Bimbel Matica presented the favorite group with their awards.
Parallel to the Math Competition, the Exconic Fest featured various engaging activities. Dinda Kasih from Dirmarcomm provided an SGU overview, highlighting the university’s unique offerings. Janet Gloria, an SGU alumna from IT 2020, shared her insights on cybersecurity and ERP systems with SAP in a fun session. Attendees then embarked on a showcase tour, exploring PBL & Diversity in room R319, the Innovation Corner in room R322, and interactive games in rooms 313-315.
The event concluded with an opportunity for participants to meet the faculty coaches, fostering connections and discussions about future academic endeavors.
Exconic Fest Ed. July & Math Competition 2024 was a resounding success, providing a platform for young minds to shine and for the community to come together in celebration of education and innovation.
