On Wednesday, August 28th, 2024, the ongoing collaboration between Swiss German University (SGU) and the Tangerang City Government took a significant step forward with an insightful online event titled “Optimizing the Use of AI (Artificial Intelligence) to Make Work Easier,” conducted via Zoom. This event was part of a broader initiative aimed at equipping civil servants with the knowledge and tools to harness the power of AI in their daily work.
Assoc. Prof. Ir. James Purnama, Director of Academic Research and Community Service (ARCS) and a renowned Information Technology Lecturer at SGU, led the session with a comprehensive presentation on the practical applications of AI. He demonstrated how AI could be seamlessly integrated into various aspects of public service, from automating routine administrative tasks to enhancing decision-making processes through data-driven insights. His examples included real-world applications of AI in optimizing workflows, reducing human error, and improving service delivery to the public.
The event drew an impressive audience of 500 online civil servants from diverse institutions across Tangerang City, all eager to delve into the potential of AI. The participants engaged actively in discussions, asking insightful questions and sharing their thoughts on how AI could be applied within their respective departments. This high level of engagement underscored the participants’ enthusiasm for embracing technological advancements and highlighted the growing interest in AI adoption within the public sector.
