PT Siemens Healthcare Training Program

From August 3rd to August 14th of 2015, the fifth semester Biomedical Engineering students attended a training programme at PT. Siemens Healthcare. 
The training involved an overview of Siemens’ Healthcare Business in Indonesia as well as a general corporate view and prospective career opportunities for future biomedical engineers. The students were also informed about the healthcare market throughout Indonesia, as well as its comparison with the ASEAN region. 
During the training, the students were also introduced to common healthcare mobility and product knowledge, which included CT, MRI, Angiography, Molecular Imaging, X-ray, Women’s Health and Ultrasound. The training provided interactive channels between the students and the speakers to explore the ideas of healthcare technology in the world, as well as the trends of future technology.
In addition, the programme also explained the corporate side of a healthcare service company that offers many possibilities for biomedical engineers’ future careers. This included the workflow of the company such as Marcom & CRM (Market Communication & Customer Relation Management), Project Management, Commerce and Finance , Hospital IT infrastructure, Regulatory and Quality that differs in different regions. 
In conclusion, the training has given the students valuable knowledge of healthcare technology, the market and development in Indonesia, as well as provide the students with references for their future career in the healthcare sector.
