SGU 2015 HALLOWEEN RUN & OCTOBERFEST
Saturday, 31st October 2015 – The Student Organization of Swiss German University and the SGU event Community jointly organized the first Halloween 5K run ever in Indonesia. More than 600 runners participated in this event and experienced the Underworld.
Unlike other run events, this Halloween thematic Run challenged the runners to complete the mission in every post while defending their life tag from 100 zombies and ghosts. There are 4 challenges in each posts; find coins in Zombie Post, get some rest in Hydropoint Post, wrest talisman from the vampire in Oriental Post and take selfies with the Indonesian ghost in Indonesia Post. The first 10 runners who made it to the Finish Line were given medals and certificates.
“This event is very interesting, I am proud to be part of it. The concept is the first in Indonesia and it’s very well prepared” said Raymond, one of the participants of the Halloween run, who is also an alumni of SGU batch 2011.
After the Run, participants were pampered with various dances and band performances, a food bazaar and beer corner. The participants also enjoyed the special guest stars “Abdul and The Coffee Theory. This Halloween event signified the end of the one month celebration of October fest 2015 in Swiss German University, with variou activities being held since 3rd October 2015 including the SGU External Cup (Futsal, Basketball, FIFA, Dota), and Food Day (Cooking competition, Food Tech Exhibition, Bazar and Food Truck).
