SGU ACCOUNTING CLUB EVENT 2015
On Friday, October 23rd 2015 – The Student Accounting Club of Swiss German University organized its first accounting competition “Accounting Comes Alive”. The participants were from representatives of first semester students from Faculty of International Business Administration and Humanities.
To introduce accounting as an important yet fun subject was the main purpose of this event. Eat Bulaga game was a start-off game in that event, the participants were divided into 18 teams which consists of 3 people each team. They were given the accounting word cards and got to guess what that card was about.
More fun games and competitions were conducted by the participants and to decide the winner, in the end they had to do a debate competition, which was really interesting because some teams had to compete with the Accounting students from 7th semester. Their accounting knowledge came in handy to beat these seniors. Whilst the judges made a decision about who would be the winner, there was a seminar held by CPA Australia. The speaker from CPA Australia explained about the importance of accounting.
Finally, after some discussion the judges decide to choose group 5 (Cassandra Natasya Hayani, Joshua Tamaro, Bintang Ramadha) as the first winner, group 7 (Angela Athella, Azelya Narindra, Natasha Olivia Tumewu) as the second winner, and group 3 (Lorraine Frederica, Regina Esther, Nadella Maharani) as the third winner.
