SGU and Tangerang City Forge Innovative Collaboration for Sustainable Development

Wednesday, November 22, 2023 – the City Planning and Development Agency of Tangerang organized the event “Tangerang Collaborative Innovation for Development” as part of the Regional Program and Development initiative. The purpose of this activity was to enhance the region’s innovation capabilities in support of sustainable development.

During this significant event, Swiss German University (SGU) played a pivotal role by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Tangerang City Government. The MoU, signed by SGU’s Rector, Mr. Samuel Kusumocahyo, and Tangerang’s Mayor, Mr. H. Arief Rachadiono Wismansyah, marks a collaborative effort to contribute to Tangerang’s innovation landscape.

The MoU signifies a commitment to collaborate on the Tridharma aspects, encompassing education, research, and community service, tailored to the needs of Tangerang City. SGU’s Rector, accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and IT, Mr. Maulahikmah Galinium, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership. They are set to follow through on the collaboration by working closely with the Department of Communication and Informatics of Tangerang City for the development of a Security Operation Centre (SOC). This initiative will be executed in collaboration with the research center Secure Tech Research Hub at SGU.

The collaborative effort between SGU and Tangerang City reflects a commitment to fostering innovation, education, and research for the betterment of the community and sustainable development in the region. The partnership is expected to yield impactful results in the realm of technology, contributing to the overall progress of Tangerang City.
