SGU Welcoming The New Dean of Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology
Swiss German University, an International University that has been established for 17 years, organized a handing over ceremony to legalize the new Dean of Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology (FEIT). The legalization and appointment ceremony was held at Swiss German University campus on October 2nd, 2017 and attended by the Chairman of the Board of Management (Dr.med. Frans Tshai), SGU Rector, SGU Vice Rector non-academic, the Deans of Faculties, Heads of study programs, faculty members, representatives from the Human Resource Development Department, representatives from the Academic Research and Community Service Department, and the SPQA team.
Dr. Irvan S. Kartawiria, ST., MSc., known as the former Dean of Faculty of Life Sciences and Technology (LST) from 2010 – 2014 and also as the lecturer in Life Sciences and Technology until today, was given the honour and trust to be appointed officially as The Dean of Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology (FEIT) from October 2nd, 2017 until September 2nd, 2021. The Dean will lead head three bachelor study programs, specifically Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, and Information Technology, and also two Master study programs specifically Master of IT and Master of Mechanical Engineering.

Along with the handing over ceremony for The Dean of Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology (FEIT), the establishment of a new position in the Rectorate in the academic sector and new non-academic directorate was announced. Dr. Ir. Gembong Baskoro, M.Sc. who has officially just finished his period as The Dean of Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology (FEIT) was appointed as the Director of Strategic Management and Cooperation Swiss German University. At the same time, Dr. Irvan S. Kartawiria, ST., MSc. who officially became the new Dean for the next four years was then also appointed as Acting Vice Rector Academic for a term of one year.
Swiss German University are assured that the new Dean of FEIT and the new Director of Strategic Management and Cooperation are capable of maintaining the academic and non-academic quality in the education sector and will bring great improvement over the next few years.
