SGU's ExConic Fest Ed December: Nurturing Game Changers for Tomorrow

Saturday, December 9, 2023 – Swiss German University (SGU) once again hosted the ExConic Fest Ed December, themed “Explore, Connect, Impact: Nurturing You As The Game Changer.” With a focus on exploration, connection, and impact, ExConic aimed to empower prospective students to become Game Changers in their respective fields in the future. The event featured an engaging workshop titled “Entrepreneurship in the Digital Age,” led by a distinguished Key Opinion Leader (KOL) and SGU alumna, Mercy Andrea, from the Business and Management class of 2013. The fest concluded with an exclusive exhibition tour, offering attendees a glimpse into each booth’s unique offerings.

This edition of ExConic Fest Ed December held particular significance as it coincided with the launch of two new study concentrations from SGU’s Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology (FEIT): Hybrid and Electric Vehicles, and Cyber Security. The launch was accompanied by two insightful talk shows on “The Future of Mobility: Electric Vehicle Revolution and the Importance of Collaboration between Industry and Higher Education,” and “Data Protection Strategies and Skill Development in Cybersecurity through Pentahelix Collaboration.”

Attended by 109 participants, including students from prominent high schools such as SMA Citra Berkat, SMA Mater Dei, SMA Tarsi 2, SMA Pembangunan Jaya, and Astratech, the event unfolded smoothly. Congratulations to FEIT for the successful launch of its two new study concentrations; may they bring positive impacts to SGU in the future.

The day’s activities not only provided a platform for exploration and connection but also emphasized the importance of staying at the forefront of emerging fields, preparing students for the dynamic challenges of the digital age.
