Strengthening its Position in Asia Region, Swiss German University Collaborates & Partners with Hokkaido University Japan
On Tuesday, 15 January 2019, Swiss German University (SGU) held an event to welcome Dr. Maria Stefanie Dwiyanti as a visiting lecturer at the Faculty of Life Sciences, SGU. Dr. Maria is an Assistant Professor at Hokkaido University, Sapporo, Japan and she will teach Alphatocopherol Quantification and DNA Extraction at SGU for a month and also conduct research in the field of food and agriculture.
During the event, SGU also congratulated the Head of Food Technology department, Maria Dewi P.T. Gunawan Puteri, M.Sc., PhD., who was recently appointed as Hokkaido University Partner. Hokkaido University appointed Maria Dewi, PhD. as the Partner due to her contribution in education and research activities as the alumna of Hokkaido University.
“The assignment of Dr. Maria Stefanie Dwiyanti as a visiting lecturer at SGU and the appointment of Maria Dewi P.T. Gunawan Puteri, M.Sc., PhD. as Hokkaido University Partner were part of the mutual partnership and strong relationship between Swiss German University and Hokkaido University. This is also part of our plan to strengthen our position in the Asia region,” said SGU Rector, Dr. rer. nat. Filiana Santoso.
