Swiss German University and Sari Pacific Jakarta Host Culinarypreneurs Program for Students

Swiss German University (SGU) has teamed up with Sari Pacific Jakarta: Autograph Collection Hotels to host a series of engaging activities under the Culinarypreneurs Program. This program, designed for SGU students, includes three key events on June 26, 2024, July 3, 2024, and July 11, 2024.

On June 26, 2024, SGU students had the unique opportunity to learn from Executive Chef Andri Aryono. They delved into the art of making Pomelo Salad with Gohu Dressing, Deconstructed Sayur Asem with Arrancini “Nasi Kucing” style, Sate Rembiga, and Vegan-Spiced Pepes Tahu. This session not only enhanced their culinary skills but also provided them with insights into creating innovative dishes.

The second session on July 3, 2024, featured Pastry Chef Ridwan Wijaya Kusuma. The students learned to create delectable Kaastengel Cake and Coconut Crème Brulee. This hands-on experience allowed them to explore the intricacies of pastry making and hone their dessert-making techniques.

The final session on July 11, 2024, shifted focus to leadership development. Febilia Seviani, the Training Manager at Sari Pacific Jakarta: Autograph Collection Hotels, led this session. The topics covered included:

  1. The importance of starting from the ground up to understand team dynamics.
  2. The necessity for leaders to be good listeners, problem solvers, and role models.
  3. The process of making initial decisions that shape future directions.
  4. Learning from previous leaders, emulating positive traits, and evolving to develop one’s leadership style.

The Culinarypreneurs Program has provided SGU students with valuable experiences, combining culinary arts and leadership training to prepare them for future success.
