Swiss German University Hosted the 2024 Konferensi Nasional Pengabdian Masyarakat dan Corporate Social Responsibility (PkM CSR)

Swiss German University (SGU) proudly hosted the 2024 Konferensi Nasional Pengabdian Masyarakat dan Corporate Social Responsibility (PkM CSR) on October 10th – 11th, 2024. It was an influential event bringing together academic and industry leaders to promote sustainable community empowerment.

This year, the conference, co-hosted by Universitas Islam Al-Azhar, Nusa Tenggara Barat, was held in partnership with several prestigious universities, including Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (UMN), Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH), Universitas Pradita, Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), Universitas Wijaya Putra (UWP), and Universitas Telkom Bandung.

The conference, aimed at academics, researchers, professionals, practitioners, and policymakers, focused on critical themes such as technology, education, health, economy, and sustainability. The sub-themes included:

  • Appropriate Technology
  • Information and Communication Technology
  • Food and Health
  • Education
  • Economy, Social, and Culture
  • Environment and Disaster Management

One of SGU’s representatives, Kholis Abdurachim Audah, contributed to the event with a keynote presentation titled “Utilizing Mangrove Plants as a Model for Sustainable Economic Empowerment of Communities”. His session highlighted the crucial role of mangrove plants in supporting sustainable economic empowerment within local communities. Through this model, mangroves serve not only as a natural resource for environmental preservation but also as a means to stimulate long-term community economic growth.

Swiss German University also contributed significantly with a robust delegation of experts, showcasing a diverse range of research and community engagement projects, including :

Reflecting on SGU’s involvement, Rector Dr. Dipl.-Ing. Samuel P.
