The 10th Anniversary of Industrial Engineering Department of Swiss German University
On Wednesday, 20 July 2016 the Industrial Engineering Department of Swiss German University celebrated its 10th Anniversary. The event included a Lunch Gathering with Nasi Tumpeng and prayer for Industrial Engineering Department for its longevity and success. The history of Industrial Engineering Program, Swiss German University was initiated ten years ago in 2005s. On July 17th 2006, the Industrial Engineering Undergraduate Program, Swiss German University was officially established as a part of Faculty of Engineering and started the first batch of students. Being considered as the youngest department in the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, Industrial Engineering Department of SGU has contributed its unique value to the engineering field through education, research and community services. Our graduates are one of those that sought after in the Industry the most. Our graduates have worked in a broad spectrum of service and manufacturing industries, which includes manufacturing, health care, consulting, financial services, information technology, human resources, operations, supply chain management and other related fields. In commemorating its 10th anniversary, Industrial Engineering of SGU is conducting following programs:
1. January 2016: Industrial Engineering System Design in One Day Competition
2. March 2016: Futsal Competition
3. 5 August 2016: CV Workshop and Interview Simulation: Human Capital 2016, Standing Out from the Crowd
4. 3 – 10 September 2016: Engineers Talk About Art: Art competition on painting, mural and photography, and music performances.
5. October 2016: Alumni gathering
6. August – November 2016: IE Roadshow: visiting some SMA to provide information about Industrial Engineering field of knowledge, especially about minimizing waste. The objective is to introduce IE field of study to high school students
7. December 2016: IESD in One Day Competition: Competition for IE prospective students (with scholarship worth total IDR 72,900,000 for 6 winners)
