Cybersecurity in an Age of Complexity: Outlook Since 2022 and What To Do Next
Swiss German University (SGU) has established a long-term strategic partnership with Mitra Gerbang Indonesia (Nexera) and Lintasarta as an industry partner to deliver industry-focused managed security device bootcamp programs aimed at strengthening the professional capabilities of Lintasarta network security engineers.
As the first initiative under this collaboration, the Managed Security Device Bootcamp will be held at the Swiss German University campus from 28 July to 8 August 2025. The intensive program is designed to provide hands-on, practical training aligned with real-world enterprise and service-provider security operations.
The bootcamp covers a comprehensive range of modern network and security technologies, including network security fundamentals, next-generation firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, VPN solutions, web and email security, DDoS mitigation, WAF, NDR/XDR, privileged access management, network access control, multi-factor authentication, and data loss prevention. Participants will engage in lab-based exercises, attack simulations, and operational validation using industry-relevant security tools.
The program is delivered by SGU faculty experts, including Dr. Ir. Charles Lim, B.Sc., M.Sc., Deputy Head Master of Information Technology, Dr. Ir. Eka Budiarto, S.T., M.Sc., Head Master of Information Technology, and SGU Master of IT alumni (which are also cybersecurity professionals at various industries), ensuring strong academic rigor combined with applied industry relevance.
This collaboration reflects SGU’s commitment to bridging academia and industry while supporting Indonesia’s growing demand for highly skilled cybersecurity professionals, and reinforces Nexera and Lintasarta’s focus on strengthening network security readiness through continuous upskilling with SGU remaining highly open to collaborating on bootcamp and professional training programs across various fields beyond cybersecurity, in line with evolving industry needs.
