Master Program of Faculty of Engineering and IT (FEIT), Swiss German University strengthening relationship with Indonesia Defense University (IDU)
On Thursday, January 7, 2016 a delegation from Master program of Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology (FEIT), Swiss German University (SGU) that includes Master of Information Technology (MIT) and Master of Mechanical Engineering (MME), paid a courtesy visit to the leaders of the Indonesia Defense University (IDU). The delegation consisted of Dr. Ir. Gembong Baskoro, M.Sc., Dean of FEIT; Dr. Ir. Moh. A. Amin Soetomo, M.Sc., Head of Master of Information Technology; Dena Hendriana, BS, SM, Sc.D., Deputy head of Master of Mechanical Engineering; Rachmawati, S. Sos., Faculty Administration Officer of Master program, and Dr. Dr. Dipl.-Ing. Rachman Syarief, MM, MH, as Head of International Business.
The delegation was officially welcomed by the leadership of the Indonesia Defense University (IDU), represented by Air Vice Marshal TNI Supaman Djapri, S. Sos., MM, M.Sc. (Han), Vice-Rector of institutional cooperation, and the leadership ranks in IDU. Both institutions stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation, especially in the graduate program, in order to cope with the development of the rapidly evolving strategic environment. The Vice Rector of IDU and The Dean of FEIT-SGU agreed to follow up the meeting with a memorandum of understanding between the two educational institutions. Hopefully, with this institutional cooperation, in particular Master programs under the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, Swiss German University and Indonesia Defense University can better respond to the dynamic changes of the strategic environment. On an informal basis, the relationship between the two institutions has been established between the Dean of FEIT-SGU and Head of Supervisory IDU, Rear Admiral TNI Dr. Ir. Supartono, MM. At the beginning of year 2016, the Dean of FEIT-SGU attended a socialization of the Draft of National Security Act held at IDU. The visit ended with an exchange of mementoes between leaders of IDU and FEIT-SGU and continued with a facility tour of IDU campus.
Continuing series of visits to the institutions at area seven-in-one of Sentul, the delegation from Faculty of Engineering and IT, SGU visited the headquarters of Indonesia Peace and Security Center (IPSC). In this visit the delegation from FEIT was informed about vision, mission, and activities of the IPSC. The visit ended with facilities tour at the IPSC headquarters.
