Accounting Students of SGU Participated in the CPA Australia Accounting Competition 2016
On 30th April 2016, students from semester 4 and 8 Accounting Department of Swiss German University (SGU) joined the CPA Australia Accounting Competition 2016 at LIPI, Jakarta. CPA is a certification for practicing accountants, finance and business professional with a specific qualification. Being a CPA indicates a soundness in depth, breadth and quality of accountancy knowledge.
As one of the world’s largest accounting bodies, CPA Australia Indonesia representative office held an accounting competition this year to motivate and encourage accounting students who have capabilities, achievements and willingness to have careers in global companies to participate in the competition which involved universities and business schools in Indonesia.
The students completed the preliminary round. In this round, it challenged each team to answer theory and technical questions within a limited time. The questions covered the subjects of Finance Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, Cost Accounting, Finance Management, Auditing, International Accounting and Government/Public Accounting.
