Bridging Knowledge and Practice: Ngabuburit with the Experts 2024 the collaboration between SGU and H3

Wednesday, April 3, 2024, saw the convergence of academia and industry expertise at the Ngabuburit with the Experts 2024 event, jointly organized by the Swiss German University (SGU) and the Indonesian Hotel Public Relations Association (H3), held at the prestigious Tribrata Dharmawangsa Jakarta.

This collaborative endeavor provided a fertile ground for sharing knowledge and fostering partnerships within the hospitality sector. The event commenced with opening remarks by Yulia Maria, Chairperson of H3, followed by insightful keynote speeches from Dr. Dipl.-Eng. Samuel P. Kusumocahyo, the Rector of SGU, and Mr. Ferri Irawan, General Manager of Sutasoma Hotel & The Tribrata Dharmawangsa.

The highlight of the event was a captivating workshop led by distinguished speakers. Dr. Deborah Nauli Simorangkir, Ph.D., SGU Global Strategic Communication Lecturer & Director of Cooperation, delivered a session on ‘Effective Digital Communication Strategies for the Hospitality Industry,’ while Dr. Tanika D. Sofianti, ST, MT, SGU Industrial Engineering Lecturer, shared insights on ‘The Influence of AI Technology in the Hospitality Industry.’ Additionally, Debby Setiawaty, as Patron of the Indonesian Hotel Public Relations Association, contributed to the discourse.

The occasion also marked the soft launch of RPL SGU, overseen by Robert La Are SST. Par, M.Par, Head of Hotel and Tourism Management Study Program at SGU.

The pinnacle of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between SGU and H3. Dr. Dipl.-Ing. Samuel P Kusumacahyo, the SGU Rector, and Yulia Maria, Chairperson of H3, formally sealed the agreement, in the presence of Henny Puspitasari, Patron of the Indonesian Hotel Public Relations Association, and Dr. Nila Krisnawati Hidayat, S.E., M.M., Vice Rector non-academic at SGU.

The participants concluded the event with iftar and group photos, expressing optimism for ongoing collaboration and mutual benefits between the organizations.
