Dean of FEIT was Judge and Attendee of the 4th annual Indonesia Operational Excellence Conference & Award (Opexcon 15)
On Monday 12th October, 2015 the Dean of Faculty of Engineering and IT (FEIT), Dr. Ir. Gembong Baskoro, M.Sc., accompanied by the Head of Master of Information Technology, Dr. Ir. Moh. A. Amin Soetomo, M.Sc., and the Deputy Head of Master of Mechanical Engineering, Dena Hendriana, B.Sc., SM, Sc.D. attended the 4th annual Indonesia Operational Excellence Conference and Award (Opexcon 15) held at the J.W. Marriott hotel, Jakarta. The Opexcon 15 was the concluding event of continuous improvement competition where several selected companies which had previously been selected in the final round by four judges, including the Dean of FEIT, were awarded silver and gold achievement awards for their continuous improvement initiatives in the field of services, energy, mining, production, and manufacturing. The event highlighted how companies manage and execute their improvement initiatives.

The theme of Opexcon 15 was “Transformation for Competitiveness”. The event was opened by Director of SSCX International continued with award presentation. In this event, along with the winning team, a number of companies, CEOs, and guests were invited as guest participants. The Dean of FEIT presented silver and gold achievement awards to mining and energy companies. Several companies that had won the gold achievement award had the opportunity to present their improvement initiative to the audience. Furthermore, the invited CEOs shared their strategy and best practices of managing organization. Among others were Mr. Tato Miraza – Former CEO Aneka Tambang Tbk and Chairman Hexa Sinergi Nusantara, Mr. Steve Kosasih – CEO of PT Transjakarta, Mr Patrick Adhiatmadja – CEO Federal Oil, Herry Rukmana – SVP Credit Operations Bank Mandiri, Wempi Sitepu – Managing Partner Fortia Strategic, and to conclude the sharing session, Mr. Faisal Basri presented about Indonesia Economic Prediction 2016. During this event, participants had the opportunity to develop networks among them.
