Academic Operation in Odd Semester: Bachelor Program

SGU Protocol in The New Normal

1. Orientation week for all new students will be conducted through online activities on 24 – 28 August 2020.

2. For the new students who should join the Pre-Course English (PCE) program, it will be conducted online on 20 July – 7 August 2020.

3. The courses in Odd Semester 2020/2021 will be started on Monday, 31 August 2020.

4. The planned Hybrid Learning in Bachelor’s program is as follows:

• • Week 1 – 6 (31 August – 9 October 2020)
    All courses are delivered as online learning activities using SGU Online Learning System, i.e. using Google Suite for Education. If applicable, theoretical part of practical courses is also delivered during this period through online learning activities.

• • Week 7 – 8 (12 – 30 October 2020, including mid-semester break)
    All courses are delivered on campus through face-to-face/classroom activities. Learning activity for all practical courses (in laboratory, workshop, or kitchen) will be delivered on campus. Strict health protocol will be implemented for all activities on campus. Only 50% of classroom capacity will be occupied. Smaller class grouping and different scheduling may be implemented.

1. • Week 9 – 14 (2 November – 11 December 2020)
     Some courses will be delivered in combined method of online and face-to-face/classroom activities, while the rest of the courses will be delivered through face-to-face/classroom activities. Strict health protocol will be implemented for activities on campus. All practical subjects will be delivered on campus. Smaller number of students per working group for practical activities may be implemented.

1. • Final Exam for Odd Semester Academic Year 2020/2021 is planned on 4 – 15 January 2021.
