The 5th International Business Administration Entrepreneurship Festival (IBEF) 2015

The Business Administration (BA) Department held its 5th annual event, called IBEF (International Business Administration Entrepreneurship Festival) 2015. With the theme “Enhancing Youth Creativity in Entrepreneurship through Batik as a National Heritage”, IBEF 2015 was held at Swiss German University (SGU) on November 18, 2015 and at Mall Living World, Alam Sutera from November 27-29, 2015. The purpose of the 5th IBEF 2015 was to encourage the young generation to develop an entrepreneurial mind set and skills.

The program of the 5th IBEF 2015 was an Essay Writing Competition for high schools, with the theme "Encouraging Innovation and Creativity in Indonesian Youth in Order To Enhance The Entrepreneurial Spirit That Leads To Successful Careers" and a Business Plan Competition for SGU students.

At Living World, Alam Sutera, BA semester 5 students successfully sold their business plan products in nine booths for all three days, from 10.00 – 22.00. Moreover, on the first day, there were two MoU signings. The first MoU was between SGU and Yayasan Pendidikan Cerdas Jagakarsa, while the second MoU was between SGU and the Indonesian Green Initiatives Foundation. There was also an Entrepreneurship Talk Show by Ega Agiditaya (BA Alumni, Founder of Marlest Apparel) and Okkie Putriani (Founder of Kutuandjamur.com and Omah Indonesia).

On the second day, 28 November 2015, we had Riris Marpaung, Dodick Sudirman (Founder of Gambrenggames.com), Mirnda Ayuhana Hapsari (Founder of Bajunyoese.com) and Fransiscus Budi Pranata as the speakers for the Entrepreneurship Talk Show and performances from BA students.

Last but not least, on the last day, Razi Thalib (CEO of Setipe.com), IlhamNirwan (Founder of Rangkayo Shoes) and Ryan Chew (Director of Buenoz Consulting) came as speakers on the 5th IBEF 2015 Entrepreneurship Talk Show. We also had Ben Sihombing as a guest singer and many bands performing.

Participants from the 5th semester students successfully sold their business plan products and learned about start up business. All the speakers from the Entrepreneurship Talk Show agreed that IBEF was a very good event to inspire the young generation and encourage young entrepreneurs to be more creative and competitive.
