Marketing, Branding and Financial Knowledge for Mompreneurs
On Wednesday, 10th June 2015, Swiss German University – Business Administration (BA) Department held a Business Knowledge Empowerment for “Mompreneur Club Member” Workshop as a form of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). This Business Workshop was held on SGU Campus from 9 am to 3 pm, with the theme “Marketing, Branding and Financial Knowledge”. 16 participants, who are members of Mompreneur, enthusiastically participated in the workshop given by Mr. Fiter Abadi, Ms. Dibia Abduh and Ms. Margaretha Lingga.
The event was opened by Ms. Nila K. Hidayat, Head of Business Administration Department, followed by the main sessions. Mr. Fiter Abadi explained about the importance of marketing, especially in market segmentation, target market and positioning strategies for SME’s. Ms. Dibia Abduh explained about the importance of branding for a company, notably aspects that create a strong brand and the solutions for today’s branding. Last but not least, Ms. Margaretha Lingga explained about the concept about financial management, the basics of start-up financing and how to prepare simple financial reports. All participants gained valuable insights into business and were able to share their experiences and difficulties in running their business.
This CSR successfully built knowledge and understanding on the implementation of proper marketing strategy, brand and knowledge of financial management for the participants’ businesses to be more competitive.
