Convocation Ceremony and Orientation Day of the First Cohort Class under an Academic Cooperation between SGU and ATMI Cikarang

On Saturday, 1st of August 2015, the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology (FEIT) held a Convocation Ceremony to welcome the first cohort of students of the cooperation between SGU and ATMI Cikarang, in particular the study program of both Bachelor and Master of Mechanical Engineering concentration Mechatronics, Swiss German University.

The ceremony was opened with a welcoming address by Dr. Ir. Gembong Baskoro, M.Sc. (Dean of The Faculty of Engineering and IT) and continued with a general lecture as well as Faculty introduction. The next session was facilitated by Bapak Erikson Sinaga, ST, M.Kom. accompanied by the academic services department to socialize SGU academic and non academic regulations. The session continued with an explanation of academic Master degree regulations by Prof. Houtman Siregar, M.Si, PhD as the Head of Master of Mechanical Engineering.
The main purpose of the convocation ceremony was to officially open the first cohort class of the cooperation between SGU and ATMI Cikarang and to ensure a smooth transition to academic and campus life for the first cohort students. The 29 cohort students benefitted from the event by receiving advice from the faculty members for Bachelor and Master programs applied in SGU.  The 29 students will pursue a BaMa program offered by Bachelor and Master of Mechanical Engineering concentration of Mechatronics under cooperation with ATMI Cikarang.
