
SGU and Endress+hauser Collaborate to Develop Outstanding Human Resources for Industry 4.0
Jakarta, March 13, 2025 – Swiss German University (SGU) reaffirms its commitment to preparing top-tier human resources for the future industry by participating in the “Collaboration for Success – Empowering Learning for the Smart Industry” forum organized by Endress+hauser Indonesia. Held at the Observatory Room, Park Hyatt Hotel Jakarta, this event served as a strategic platform bringing together academics, industry leaders, and social and educational partners to discuss the future of industry-based learning ecosystems.
The forum focused on the importance of synergy between universities and businesses in addressing the challenges of digital transformation and automation in the Industry 4.0 era. During the panel discussion, which was the highlight of the event, various stakeholders shared insights on how close collaboration can drive innovations that enhance technological competitiveness and workforce quality in Indonesia.
One of the panel speakers was Dr. rer. nat. Filiana Santoso, a lecturer from SGU’s Department of Food Technology. She emphasized that higher education must be practice-oriented so that graduates acquire skills relevant to industry needs. “Collaboration with industry allows students to gain hands-on experience, making them more prepared to face real-world challenges. With the support of partners like Endress+hauser, SGU continues to innovate in creating an applied learning system that aligns with technological advancements,” said Dr. Filiana.
In addition to the inspiring discussions, another significant moment in the event was the scholarship award from Endress+hauser to SGU students. This scholarship was symbolically received by Assoc. Prof. Ir. James Purnama, M.Sc., Vice Rector for Non-Academic Affairs at SGU, as a form of appreciation for student achievements and support for developing future talents in technology and industry.
