SGU was Granted Rank 45 out of 1,477 Universities in Indonesia
Referring to letter No. 2331/DRPM/TU/2016 issued by the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education (KEMENRISTEKDIKTI) of the Republic of Indonesia, as of August 18, 2016, Swiss German University ranked 45 out of 1,477 Indonesian universities in the Assessment Result of Higher Education Research Performance Assessment in 2013-2015 in “UTAMA” category and received Research Grant Funding of up to IDR 10 billion.
In 2008-2010, SGU was categorized as “BINAAN” (Patronage) while in 2010-2012, SGU managed to climb up the rankings into the category of “MADYA” (Associate). In 2016, SGU made it into the “UTAMA” (Eminent) category with research focuses in the field of Food and Health, Information Technology, Robotics and Automation, as well as Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation.
KEMENRISTEKDIKTI assessed the research performance of higher education in Indonesia based on the research performance of each institution and categorized into “BINAAN” (Patronage), “MADYA” (Associate), “UTAMA” (Eminent), and “MANDIRI” (Independent) in KEMENRISTEKDIKTI.
